360 Snatches 20 minutes

Pump Up the Volume!
MVO2@ 15:15 16kg 40 sets, 9 reps = 360 snatches
Average Heart Rate 172
Max Heart Rate 188

Felt good, but the pesticide wafting over from up the street was starting to get to me.
In fresh air I know I can get 50 set in the very near future.

Dude, you better get a set of 50. Don't let me beat you. ;)

Sometime we should train this (suffer) together - you with the 16, I'll try the 12. 9 reps... for 50 sets. Sound good?

PS, I'm still impressed by your pushup bear crawls. You made that look so damn easy.

Hey Nikki,

I do my fast MVO2 on Tuesdays (usually about 7AM), if you want to get your metabolism going before work.

I don't know why but for me the push up bear crawls are almost easier than straight bear crawls. Maybe it's because I'm alternating pulling and pushing?

It's still the hot potato that kills me.

The air lately has certainly sucked... at least in West LA near my apartment & near where Rich lives.

One of these days, I'm going to put the Tactical Lunges back in the circuit. Then we'll all eat it.

Where do you live again? I wonder if we'd be able to manage that. I think it would be cool to try. Or if you ever consider doing another one on a weekend... :)
Re: hot potato: did you see Adam Glass's post on the forum about his client?

"I started him on a diet of TGU for 5 minutes followed by face the wall squats, halos, and hot potatoes for 3 minutes with a 12kg.
Friday afternoon, after 4 weeks, he completed the following workout.
TGU with a 28kg-10 reps in 4 minutes followed by 6 minutes straight with a 20kg.
Swings 250 reps in 7 minutes with a 20kg
Hot potato 6 minutes NONSTOP with a 20kg"

6 minutes is forever!

Wow! Rich, those are great numbers!
How are you hands after something like that?

Thanks Franz,

On the 16 kg bell at 9 reps, my hands were OK. They weren't the things that made me stop. Proper hand care is important though. Before I started the MVO2, I had to file some callouses that were catching during warm-up.

The 16 kg 10 reps 15:15, and the 24 kg 5 reps 15:15 really stress out the skin.
